COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. - Two former El Paso County sheriff's supervisors have pleaded not guilty in a wide-ranging corruption case.
The Colorado Springs Gazette reports former undersheriff Paula Presley and former commander Juan "John" San Agustin, who entered their pleas Monday, were indicted in May 2016 after a probe by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
Former sheriff Terry Maketa also was indicted.
The three are accused of coercing a woman who was involved in a domestic dispute with a deputy to recant her story. The woman was then arrested.
