Greenwood Village bank robber on the loose

GREENWOOD VILLAGE - The Greenwood Village Police Department and FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force are investigating a bank robbery that took place on April 10 at 5:58 p.m. at the Chase Bank at 5990 South University Blvd.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic female, in her 20s, approximately 5 feet 4 inches in height with a medium build. She has tattoos of flowers on both sides of her neck and chest.

The suspect entered the bank, presented a demand note and fled according to police.

Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.

The FBI continues to provide financial institutions with the best practices for security to make them less vulnerable to robberies.
