FORT COLLINS COLORADOAN - After a nearly 24-hour, around-the-clock search sheriff's deputies have arrested a man who managed to escape from a patrol car while handcuffed.
William Morgan was arrested Wednesday for failure to appear on a drug warrant. While he was handcuffed in the patrol car, the deputies arrested another person, Harmony Schoenfelder, for failing to appear on a disorderly conduct warrant. When one of the deputies went back to the car to check on Morgan, they realized he had escaped. Even with the help of the Loveland Police Department and a K-9 tracking dog, they did not find Morgan that night, according to a news release.
Deputies found Morgan Thursday afternoon after canvassing the neighborhood and reviewing video footage from the area. He was in an apartment close to where he was first arrested, the 700 block of 16th Street in Loveland.
