Littleton woman sentenced to 7 years in prison for oil investment scheme

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Jill M. Evans, of Littleton, has been sentenced by a federal judge to spend seven years in federal prison and pay $2,094,500 in restitution in connection with an oil investment scheme.

Evans, 51, was indicted in June 2015 and pleaded guilty to wire fraud and money laundering in late January of this year.

She was sentenced by U.S. District Judge John Kane, acting U.S. Attorney for Colorado Robert Troyer announced today.

Kane ordered that, following her prison sentence, Evans will serve an additional three years on supervised release. Evans was taken into custody after her sentencing.
