Man killed in overnight shooting at hotel

AURORA – Officers are working to gather more details on an overnight shooting that left a man dead at the Travelodge Aurora.

Police were called to the hotel located at 14200 East 6th Avenue at about 2:30 a.m. They arrived to discover a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The victim’s name will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office once his next of kin has been notified.

Detectives are interviewing witnesses at the scene on more details surrounding the incident.
