Man suspected of homicide in El Salvador arrested in Fort Collins

FORT COLLINS COLORADOAN - On Friday, law enforcement officers in Fort Collins arrested a Fort Morgan man accused of homicide in El Salvador and attempted murder in Morgan County.

Angel Ramos, 36, is a suspected MS-13 gang member accused of stabbing a woman earlier this month in Morgan County, according to a Morgan County Sheriff's Office news release.

Investigators say that on Nov. 4, Ramos stabbed his victim with a screwdriver inside a moving vehicle. When she jumped out to escape, the car ran over her leg, according to the news release. Ramos reportedly tried to force her into the trunk before fleeing. 

She was treated for her injuries at a hospital and later released. 

When investigators searched his home after the reported attack, they found falsified documents with fictitious names, according to the news release
