THORNTON - Thornton Police want the community to be on the look-out for a suspect who they believe tried to entice a child on two separate occasions.
The first incident happened on Oct. 3 around 4:50 p.m.
Police responded to the area of 134th Avenue and High Street on reports of a man exposing himself to a 12-year-old girl. According to the girl, an older, white, four-door sedan with a tan interior pulled up next to her as she was walking home from school.
The driver motioned for her to come over to his car.
The girl said he was sitting in his car naked performing a lewd act. After the incident he drove away.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man between 30 and 40 years old. He has a chunky build, short black hair and no facial hair. He was wearing a gold chain link necklace.
A second incident happened on Oct. 11 around 6:29 p.m.
Thornton Police responded to the area of High and Franklin streets on a report of an attempted child enticement.
A 13-year-old girl said she was walking home from school when a man driving a white sedan pulled up next to her and made lewd suggestive comments to her before driving away.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man between the ages of 40 and 50. He spoke with a heavy accent.
His car was described as a white four-door sedan with some type of rack on the roof.
Police believe the incidents are related.
