No sentencing Friday for man who hit, killed CSP cadet

KUSA - The sentencing for a man convicted of hitting and killing a Colorado State Patrol cadet has been rescheduled. It was initially slated for Friday morning. 

Christopher Gebers, 28, automatically faces a life sentence after he was convicted by a Boulder County jury of first-degree murder in Cadet Taylor Thyfault’s death.

Trooper Clinton Rushing was also injured when Gebers plowed into them as he was evading police.

Gebers was also found guilty of 13 other charges in the May 2015 crash.

His sentencing was scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Friday. It has since been moved. 

CSP named Thyfault a trooper after his death.
