Police seek information in Five Points homicide

DENVER - Police are asking the public for information on a fatal shooting over the weekend in Denver’s Five Points Neighborhood.

Police say 38-year-old Gerald Hammons was shot and killed outside of his vehicle parked on 29th and Welton streets just before 5 a.m. on Sunday.

Hammons had been at Wardenclyffe, a nearby after-hours bar just before the shooting.

The suspect then fled the area and has not been identified by police.
