Police: Windsor man coerced teen girls into prostitution

FORT COLLINS COLORADOAN - A Windsor man has been arrested on suspicion of exploiting two 15-year-old girls' drug addictions to coerce them into prostitution.

In early April, one of the victims told police that Joseph Jay Fawcett, 42, had paid them for sexual acts after contacting them online. They told investigators he had contacted them in March and began asking them to meet in person.

He allegedly emailed one of the victims and proposed various prices for different sexual acts. In the following days, they met, where he assaulted one of the girls, according to his arrest affidavit.

The affidavit said he knew both girls were using drugs, and he would ask them how much money they needed to pay off their "debts" and used that information to convince them to engage in sexual acts for money.
