Pueblo man busted for selling pot to juveniles

PUEBLO - A Pueblo man was arrested for illegally selling marijuana to juveniles near a mobile home community in Pueblo West.

Late last month police received a tip about the illegal sales. During their investigation, detectives observed numerous vehicles arrive at an address in the 200 block of E. Homer Dr. The occupants would go into the home and then return to the vehicle and leave within a few minutes of arriving.

On Thursday, deputies contacted two juvenile who had just left the residence. After speaking with them, detectives determined they had a enough evidence to obtain a search warrant.

After executing the warrant, the homeowner, John McBride, 52, was arrested. He faces charges of distribution of marijuana to a minor, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and resisting arrest.

Detectives seized 6 ounces of dried marijuana, marijuana concentrate, and hashish along with a handgun, 2 shotguns and a rifle. They also found $7,500 in cash.

Detectives noted large quantities of small denomination currency, which they believe is common to the distribution of narcotics, adding up to approximately $7,500.00 in cash.
