Residents call police after seeing people leaving their homes

LOVELAND - Two men are in custody after early morning burglaries in Loveland on Tuesday.

Around 4 a.m., a man called police after he said he saw someone leaving his house on the 400 block of 23rd Street SW. A few houses down, another man called police to report he heard someone walking through his house.

When officers arrived, one officer saw a suspicious car driving in the area. When the car was found, it was empty, the windows were down and the keys were still in the ignition.

A K-9 found two suspects hiding in the weeds near the Good Samaritan Retirement Village.

Travis Murray and Jonathan Shreeves, both 33, are charged with two counts of burglary of a dwelling.

Investigators believe the two entered through open garage doors, unlocked homes and vehicles. It's also believed Shreeves and Murray committed additional burglaries around that time.

Anyone with information regarding this incident or any related crime is asked to call Detective Brian Koopman at 970-962-2248.

This case is still under investigation.
