Sketch released of man who tried nab child

DENVER - Police released a sketch Wednesday of a man who tried to kidnap a child who was walking with family in downtown Denver Saturday afternoon.

Police gave few details about the incident, but say it happened in the 1500 block of Cleveland Place around 4 p.m.

The victim was walking behind a family member when an unknown male picked up the child and started to walk away. The family member saw this and the unknown male put the child down and ran off.

The suspect is a light skinned man about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds. He had black straight, unkempt hair and was unshaven.
