Third suspect arrested in Boulder shooting

BOULDER - A man wanted in connection with a shooting earlier this week in Boulder was arrested Friday night in Westminster.

Elliott Forgette, 28, was arrested near Federal Boulevard and West 104th Avenue by the Westminster Police Department's Special Enforcement Team. Officers went to the area after receiving a Crime Stoppers tip that Forgette was going to meet someone at a fast food restaurant.

Forgette is facing charges of attempted robbery and aggravated robbery. His bond has been set at $200,000.

On Tuesday, someone reported to police that they heard the sound of a possible gunshot near 5th and Maxwell Streets at about 11:45 a.m. Authorities checked the area and say no one was injured.

Witnesses told police two men got out of a sedan that had pulled over in the 500 block of Maxwell Street and ran into an alley. That's when witnesses say they heard the gunshot. They say the two men ran out of the alley.

Officers later found a gun near 5th and Maxwell Streets. The man driving the white sedan – identified as Seth Havner, 27 -- was found near Flatiron Crossings Mall. He was arrested on unrelated charges.

A second man seen in the alley, identified as Daniel Kidd, 30, was also interviewed by police and arrested on unrelated charges.

Investigators say all three men are acquainted.
