LITTLETON - A man is in custody after his ex-girlfriend went into a Littleton gas station early Tuesday morning and asked the clerk to call police because she said he was kidnapping her and her son.

Littleton Police say they first received the call at the Bradley Sinclair gas station at 7500 S. Broadway just before 2:45 a.m.

Officers showed up moments later and used their vehicles to prevent the suspect from leaving.

Police say he ran away, but was arrested a short time later.

The woman and her child were taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Littleton Police haven’t released the man’s identity.
