DENVER - Many people in Colorado are trying to do whatever they can to help relief efforts in Nepal.
Denver-based organization, Edge of Seven, will be traveling to Nepal to help with the rebuilding process.
Edge of Seven has been building earthquake-resistant schools and dorm buildings near Mount Everest in Nepal since 2011.
A group of students from Mullen High School traveled to Nepal through Edge of Seven in March. They helped build a dorm for girls that withstood last week's earthquake.
The organization is holding a benefit for Nepal on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Posner Center for International Development at 1031 33rd St. in Denver. This will be an opportunity to learn about Edge of Seven's work and how they are planning to help. There will be a silent auction andlocal bluegrass music. Tickets are available at www.accessempowerment.eventbrite.com.
