Denver's Punch Bowl Social goes to Washington with 2 locations planned

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Denver-based "eatertainment" concept Punch Bowl Social has plans to make its Washington, D.C.-area debut with two locations opening over the next two years.

One is a previously-announced 25,000-square-foot location set to open next year at a redeveloped mall in Arlington, Virginia, across the Potomac River from the nation's capital.

And now, Punch Bowl Social has struck a deal to open a location across the street from Nationals Park — home of Major League Baseball's Washington Nationals — come spring 2019.

A combination of restaurant, bar and entertainment venue, Punch Bowl Social has signed a lease to open a two-story, roughly 24,000-square-foot location at 1250 Half St. SE. It will be the lead tenant in a planned mixed-use project, which will feature about 55,000 square feet of retail and 439 residential units.
