DENVER - Denver Police were looking for three men who reportedly had a gun near Regis Jesuit University. They apprehended the men around 2 p.m. Wednesday.
According to DPD, no shots were fired, and there were no injuries. DPD says the men were near the campus.
According to DPD, three "suspicious-looking juveniles" were in an alleyway near campus in the 4500 block of Julian Way and Knox Court. They asked them to stop, and they took off running.
The three men are in custody now. Police did not immediately find a gun in their position once taking them into custody.
The school was not on official lockdown during the incident but did inform students to stay in place for safety's sake.

FIRST ALERT - RU Alert! Movement across campus is permitted except for the south side along 50th/Regis Blvd. Access permitted to south buildings through north entrances only.
SECOND ALERT - RU Alert! Emergency on Campus! Please remain in current location until advised. Their is a safety threat just south of Lowell campus. Further info on Insite.
THIRD ALERT - R U Alert! The safety alert has been terminated. Lowell campus movement and access are no longer restricted. Thank you for your cooperation.
