Legacy High School to march in Rose Parade

KUSA – The Legacy High School Lightning Marching Band will be going to the 2015 Rose Parade. Pasadena Tournament of Roses president Richard Chinen extended the formal invitation Friday, while presenting the official parade flag during a pep rally at Legacy high School.

The band will be the only marching band to represent Colorado at the 2015 Rose Parade. This will be the 126 annual Rose Parade taking place on January 1, 2015.

The band will be required to raise all the necessary funds for travel and accommodations.

The Legacy High School Lightning Marching Band will also perform at one of three Bandfest events held at Pasadena City College before the Rose Parade.

The team has 35 seniors who will march at the Rose Parade, who also marched at the 2011 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
