KUSA - It can be a challenge to start a new diet or exercise routine, but you can find resources to help at a 9Health Fair.
Saturday morning dozens of people attended at fair in Denver near 10th and Mariposa. There was an opportunity to get free health screenings and get advice from health experts.
Dietitian Jamie Owen was there dispelling myths about food labels.
"Most people think that seeing a label with reduced fat is healthy, but that's generally not the case," Owen said. "You'd be surprised to know that reduced fat actually has more added sugar in it than regular peanut butter so you're best bet is to stick with the full fat you get the healthy fats in it as well as less sugar."
There are plenty more fairs coming up to find a fair location near you click here.
