KUSA - Running to your neighborhood urgent care for off-hours medical care isn't as simple as it used to be.
Freestanding ERs are popping up all over Colorado and leaving surprised patients with bills that are easily double or triple that of its urgent care counterpart.
9NEWS investigator Chris Vanderveen is looking into the differences the two types of care facilities charge even for relatively similar services.
Freestanding emergency rooms are often affiliated with a hospital, but not attached to one.
They charge hospital emergency room prices, because they are able to provide more services than urgent care.
If you've been to either, we want to know what you were charged.
Fill out the form below or send your bill to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Chris will use the information in his investigation into the cost differences on 9NEWS on Thursday.
