Police continue to search for 32-year-old German Medina after the body of his ex-girlfriend, 23-year-old Bertha Garcia, was discovered under a bush on the 1900 block of Paris Street in Aurora Monday afternoon.
"[Medina] asked his brother to borrow a car and a gun," Aurora Officer Frank Fania said.
Medina's brother says he didn't let him borrow a gun, but he did lend Medina his black Lexus.
Garcia was walking back inside her home after saying goodnight to a friend just after midnight Sunday but she never made it to the front door.
That friend says he saw a man grab her arm but he thought it was her brother, so he kept driving.
Police believe the man was Medina and have a warrant out for his arrest.
Medina is described as 5-foot-8, 140 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a thin beard. Medina was last seen wearing a black leather coat.
The car he borrowed from his brother is a black 1997 Lexus two door with Colorado plates 339-WDJ.
If you see that car, or Medina, call 911 immediately.
Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $2,000 for information. The number to call is 720-913-STOP.
