DPD searching for armed robbery suspects

DENVER - Denver Police have arrested three suspects they believe are involved in a series of robberies over the past five to six weeks.

According to Tweets from @DenverPolice, they are still searching for two additional suspects.

A perimeter is set up in the 200 block of Knox Court in Denver as they searched for the suspects.

Police believe these suspects may have been involved in a robbery and carjacking.

Police were looking for a gold Honda Accord with Colorado license plate 412-YDT. The car was recovered just before 10 a.m. near West 11th Avenue and Mariposa Street. It has front-end and driver's side damage.

Three of the suspects are in custody, while two-to-three are still on the run. These men should be considered armed and dangerous.

DPD says these suspects may be responsible for 16 to 17 robberies in the Denver area.

Neighbors in the area received reverse 911 calls and should be on alert.

Lakewood Police is assisting DPD.
