KUSA- An online Al-Qaeda magazine named the U.S. Air Force Academy as a possible terror-attack target.
According to our sister station KOAA, the publication called "Palestine-Betrayal of the Guilty Conscience," is written in English and published by Al-Qaeda.
The magazine tells readers how to make homemade bombs. It also gave some examples of targets including the Air Force Academy, Times Square and Casinos in Las Vegas.
The Air Force Academy issued a statement to KOAA:
"We are aware that the Air Force Academy is mentioned in a recent online publication. We remain vigilant and maintain all the appropriate protocols of a military installation to include force protection and being cognizant of existing and emerging threats. Our primary concern is always the security and the safety of the cadets, our personnel and the thousands of visitors who come to USAFA every year."
