Alcohol, exposure likely caused man's death in Winter Park

VAIL, Colo. (AP) - Investigators say a man whose body was found at a campsite in Winter Park likely died from alcohol intoxication and exposure.

The Vail Daily reports 55-year-old Mark Albrecht, of Fraser, was found dead near his tent Tuesday. He had been camping for a few days with a friend.

The Grand County Coroner's Office says there was no trauma to the man's body, so an autopsy will not be performed.

Glen Trainor, chief of police for Fraser and Winter Park, says Albrecht struggled with alcoholism "but was a really great guy."
