You can support the effort to find a cure for breast cancer with a bracelet and a bagel. Here are a couple of suggestions.
Coldwater Creek is selling Pink Ribbon Bracelets. You get two for $10. The net profits go to Komen for the Cure. The idea is buy a bracelet to wear and to share with a friend or family member.
The pink bracelets are made of quartz and feature a charm with the word promise on it. You can also purchase $3 bracelets at the Denver Race for the Cure, all of the proceeds going to Komen. To learn more go to www.coldwatercreek.com.
Since October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Panera Bread bakery-cafes throughout Colorado are again offering a Pink Ribbon Bagel, with cherry chips and bing cherries and cranberries.
The bagels will be sold to benefit the Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers Foundation (RMCCF). New to this year’s event, Panera Bread has also partnered with Great American Quilt Factory (GAQF) in Denver to encourage guests to participate in a quilt campaign.
The ‘Joined In Hope’ Pink Ribbon Bagel Campaign will give customers the opportunity to decorate a 6-by-6-inch piece of fabric with a special message of hope and inspiration targeted toward those who are currently fighting breast cancer.
Customers who purchase a Pink Ribbon Bagel will receive a quilt patch to decorate with a personal message of encouragement. Each decorated quilt patch will be collected at the bakery-cafes and then will be stitched together to create quilts that will be donated to RMCCF.
