Soup with a purpose

written by: Kim Christiansen     12 months ago

DENVER - There's nothing quite like a bowl of soup on a cold winter day. It warms us up and often brings back memories of a grandmother's homemade soup or chili.

Throughout the month of February you can enjoy the soup at Panera Bread and support Porter Hospice and St. Anthony Hospice. Every time you purchase soup in a bread bowl from Panera (Denver/Boulder area), 25 cents will be donated to Porter and St. Anthony Hospice.

This is the third year Panera is supporting the annual Soup for the Soul fundraising event. It will take place at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel on March 26th. Several of Denver's best restaurants participate; serving appetizers and signature soups.

There is also a silent art auction. For more information, visit www.centurahealthathome.org. To purchase tickets call 303-715-7615.

For 20 years, thousands of families have experienced the care and compassion of Porter Hospice and St. Anthony Hospice, these two non-profit programs provide more charity care than any other hospice in the community, more than five times the state average.
