6th grader donates his locks

PARKER - After three years of growing his hair out, sixth grader Evan Benson has donated his hair to Locks of Love.

Evan got his hair cut on Saturday.

Because of his long hair, Evan's mom Jill says some kids at school were picking on him, so he did a presentation about the Locks of Love organization to the sixth grade classes of Franktown Elementary.

A hairstylist at the Rebecca J salon in Parker cut the hair for free because the hair was being donated.

Jill Benson says Evan has a big heart and also donates money and goods to donation drives.
