SUMMIT COUNTY - Investigators say two hikers in Summit County have found human remains that could be a person who disappeared in Aurora in 2001. ![]() The Summit County Sheriff's Office says the hikers found the remains while they were in the Officers Gulch area between Frisco and Copper Mountain just off of Interstate 70. The hikers were about 200 yards above the Ten Mile Creek bicycle path on the south side of the gulch. The hikers found a human jaw bone, and investigators later found other bones along with some clothing and a backpack. Two forms of identification were also found at the scene, but the person's name wasn't released. Investigators would only say that the person is linked to a missing person report filed in August 2001 in Aurora. (Copyright KUSA*TV, All Rights Reserved)
