Colorado Easter decor lawsuit delayed
|
BOULDER (AP) - A lawsuit over one woman's Easter decorations has been delayed. ![]() Carol Burdick was evicted from her Boulder apartment this spring after refusing to take down her Easter decorations, which included a pyramid of Peeps marshmallow candies. Burdick is suing the real estate company that evicted her, and a jury trial was scheduled to begin Wednesday. However, a Boulder County judge granted an indefinite extension to the company on Tuesday. A new trial date hasn't been scheduled. The company says Burdick was evicted for not paying rent, not because she left the decorations on her door 17 days past the holiday. (Copyright Associated Press, All Rights Reserved)
