Motorcyclist dies after crash on Dam Road

AURORA - A 25-year-old man driving a motorcycle died on Wednesday after he crashed on the Cherry Creek Dam Road.

The Colorado State Patrol says just before 5 a.m. Stanislav Garnov of Denver was heading west on the road when he off the north side and hit the guardrail. He went along the guardrail for about 100 feet before he was thrown off the bike.

Garnov was pronounced dead at the scene.

Garnov was wearing a helmet and investigators say alcohol or drugs are suspected as contributing factors.
