Man dead in apparent accident with train

DOUGLAS COUNTY - Deputies say a man is dead after he was apparently hit by a train late Friday night.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office says the incident happened around 11 p.m. at 3911 Norwood Drive, near Highway 85.

The man, who deputies say is between 20 and 30 years old, was taken to a hopsital in Littleton where he died. He was not immediately identified.

Deputies are not sure if the man was hit by the train, or was the victim of something else.

According to deputies, a man who called in the report did not stick around to speak with authorities.
