Crew responding to accident involved in separate wreck

BRIGHTON - A fire engine responding to an accident on Interstate 76 was involved in a separate accident en route the scene.

The Colorado State Patrol says the truck was responding to an accident on westbound I-76 and 74th Avenue when it crashed on the interstate at 88th Avenue.

CSP says at least one person was taken from the scene of the original accident but details about the injuries were not immediately available.

Thursday morning saw eight accidents along I-76.
