The Colorado National Guard says it used a Black Hawk helicopter to rescue the hiker.

The National Guard says the Fremont County sheriff's office had asked for help locating the man. Authorities say he was found Friday afternoon in Reese Gulch and was rescued after the helicopter landed in the area. He was taken to a hospital in Canon City to be treated for minor injuries.

The man's name was not released and officials did not say how he was injured.
