Each year, more than 1.2 million children under the age of six are unintentionally poisoned at home by things like cosmetics, personal care products and cleaning substances.

On Wednesday, Trista and Ryan Sutter, former "Bachelorette" contestants, will lead the group of parents and babies in Broomfield as part of the Million Baby Crawl to push for reform.

Event organizers, including corporate sponsor Seventh Generation, say the federal law intended to protect people from health-harming chemicals is not working. Organizers say only 200 of the some 80,000 chemicals require safety testing.

The Broomfield event is one of nearly a dozen across the country pushing for reform. It runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Nordstrom Court of Flatirons Crossing. The event will feature a photo area, giveaways, a sign and t-shirt making station as well as a computer station where participants can join the community on www.millionbabycrawl.com to rally in support of the Toxic Substances Control Act reform.
