The Colorado State Patrol says troopers and 51 law-enforcement agencies will conduct the state's first Thanksgiving week DUI crackdown from 6 p.m. Tuesday until 3 a.m. on the Monday after Thanksgiving.

The State Patrol says that last year, seven people were killed in alcohol-related crashes in Colorado during Thanksgiving week, representing more than one-third of all motor vehicle deaths that week.

The State Patrol says more than 60 percent of people killed in traffic crashes in Colorado that week were not wearing seat belts.
