Aurora Police say 37-year-old Carrie An Marie Williams of Aurora was hit just before midnight on Monday by a red 2001 Chevy Cavalier on Colfax Avenue, near North Peoria Street. Police used fingerprints to identify her.

According to authorities, Williams was found lying in the road with severe injuries. She was taken to a local hospital, but died in surgery.

Police say the driver, 31-year-old Daniel Graham of Aurora, is not expected to face charges. They say alcohol and speed were not a contributing factor in the crash and Williams was 300 feet from the intersection as she tried to cross the street.

A spokesman for the Denver Broncos says the driver is not the same Daniel Graham who plays tight end for the team.
