Jars of salsa prompt bomb scare

VAIL (AP) - A bomb scare that prompted officials to close part of this resort town's transportation center ended when bomb technicians discovered two jars of salsa inside a suspicious package.

Police say the small box found Thursday afternoon was wrapped in duct tape and contained no shipping information.

Officer Jim Applegate of the Vail Police Department says no evacuations were ordered but police shut down two levels of the Vail Transportation Center for the nearly two hours it took to get a bomb sniffing dog and open the package.

No one has claimed the salsa according to police.
