The CSP says several people have called them after being asked to donate money to the family of Trooper Zachariah Templeton. He was helping a driver on I-76 last month when another driver hit him. Templeton later died at the hospital.

The CSP says you should be suspicious of anyone who asks you to contribute to Templeton's family. Neither the CSP nor the Colorado Department of Public Safety ask for donations.

If you are asked, call the CSP's public affairs offfice at 303-239-4583.
