The victim was identified Thursday morning as Robert Seamans, 28. Seamans was from Pueblo. He was pronounced dead on May 25 at 7:34 p.m.
Witnesses claim the victim was "attempting to slide down the staircase rails when he lost balance and fell over the rail striking his head on the concrete stairs."
"Robert was a sweet, fun-loving young man. He made a mistake. It cost him his life. Through all of this, a lot of people will be touched by his generosity [because] Robert donated his organs." his cousin who lives in Lakewood said.
Officers discovered the man during the game. He was sitting in the northwest section of the Rockpile - the stadium's center field bleacher section - before his fall.
"We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of one of our fans," says a statement released by the Rockies. "Our thoughts and prayers remain with the family and friends of this young man as we all grieve for his loss."
