DENVER - A mini-village that will soon be packed with kids is taking over the atrium at the Wells Fargo building in downtown Denver.

It comes courtesy of Junior Achievement and Great-West Life Assurance Company.

It's called Finance Park, and it is 5,500 square feet of mock storefronts and kiosks designed to teach kids about stocks, budgeting and what it takes to succeed in this economy.

Kids will spend time in their classroom learning about finances prior to spending four hours with volunteer mentors at the park.

Organizers say they'll pretend to be adults for a day in a fun reality-based setting.

Junior Achievement hopes to reach 12,000 students each year through the Finance Park curriculum.

It will remain downtown through Nov. 19 and then will move to North Denver.

It's completely free for participating students.
