At 3:30 p.m., Mountain View Fire Rescue was called to the area of 121st and Jay Road in Boulder County on a report of a cow that fell in a well.
Nearby homeowners and animal control officers rushed to help firefighters free the animal.
A neighbor, offered a crane and with the use of a fire hose, the team created and attached a sling. The group was able to lower the sling underneath the cow and pull her out of the well.
A veterinarian responded to the scene and witnesses say the cow appeared to be unharmed.
