Rebekah Stockbridge was one of 21 kids who took part in the FosterSports Program. CEO and Founder Petur Workman started the program to help give kids the opportunities to participate in sports.

All kids are displaced youth, either in foster care or recently adopted. FosterSports and SOS Outreach will get them out snowboarding 12 times this season, something they may not have had the chance to do otherwise. The program is designed to help kids stay out of trouble.

"Sports in general - kids truancy rates go way down. They stay in school when they get involved in sports and have something to do either on the weekend or after school," said Workman.

It also gives them a chance to smile because for as rough as the day started for Stockbridge, she never gave up.

"I was like 'I was never going to do this.' Then I was like 'oh I can do this'," said Stockbridge.

FosterSports works with the SOS Outreach Program and Vail Resorts donates more than a million dollars to each year in money, lift tickets, gear and food.
