At around 11:57 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance at an apartment complex near Florida and I-225.

Family members told investigators that Nakie Nicole Pratt was drinking and became belligerent. She then got into an argument with her aunt, Mary Pratt, who was trying to calm her down.

According to a witness, Pratt stabbed her aunt in the neck. Mary Pratt was transported to a nearby hospital where she later died.

Deputies found Nakie Nicole Pratt outside of the apartment. The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office says she admitted to being involved in the alleged stabbing and was taken into custody.

Pratt is being held without bond on a first degree murder charge.
