The Environmental Protection Agency wants recommendations on cleaning up 15 miles of Colfax Avenue, which runs east and west through Denver and other communities.

According to the Denver Post, environmental regulators are worried about a number of sources of pollution, including former gas stations and dry-cleaners.

Officials estimate there are 300 contaminated sites in the city along Colfax.
