Thirty-two-year-old Celena Hollis was shot Sunday night while responding to a disturbance.
Hollis was a single mother and a seven-year Denver police veteran. She previously worked as a police officer in Detroit.
Hollis' funeral will be at the Denver First Church of the Nazarene and burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery.
A public viewing is scheduled for Friday at Horan and McConaty mortuary. Police have arrested 21-year-old Rollin Oliver on suspicion of first-degree murder in Hollis' death.
A musical tribute for Hollis will be held at City Park Jazz on Sunday.
Officials are encouraging people to show their support by wearing purple - Officer Hollis' favorite color.
They can also join a silent vigil held on the west side of Ferril Lake at 5 p.m.
A table will be set up were people can donate to a college fund for Hollis' daughter.
