According to police, Yakov Rakhshtut was driving a rental car shuttle at 11:45 a.m. that day when he allegedly hit a woman in a crosswalk as she was walking toward the Denver International Airport terminal.
The pedestrian - 57-year-old Katherine McKinley - later died from the head injury she got after being hit by the shuttle.
Rakhshtut is charged with one count of careless driving resulting in death.
