Vail Mountain dedicated a new gondola Friday that has cabins with heated seats and Wi-Fi access beginning later this month.

"Yes, it's beautiful. We just launched it this morning," Lift Maintenance Director Clyde Wiessner said.

The Eldora Mountain Resort in Nederland is also opening on Friday after cold temperatures allowed it to make enough snow for a 20-inch base.
