The chase began around 4 p.m. in Kit Carson County when Sheriff's Deputies attempted to stop a silver Volkswagen sedan reported stolen out of the State of Washington, on westbound I-70 near milepost 395.
The vehicle fled and deputies pursued at high-speeds before calling off the chase.
Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputies spotted the car about 25 miles west of the first attempted stop. The driver fled again at high-speeds and deputies again called off the chase. About 40 miles from there the driver pulled over at a gas station in Deer Trail where Colorado State Troopers spotted the car and tried to talk to the driver.
Colorado State Patrol Corporal Heather Cobler said troopers didn't actively pursue the car but asked for officers from Adams and Arapahoe Counties to saturate the area.
Cobler said the driver pulled into a driveway near Highway 36 and Calhoun Road just north of Byers where he was arrested.
The driver's name is not being released at this time.
