One particular story caught our eye.

Colorado Academy in southwest Denver has created a partnership with a sister school in the rural mountains of Haiti. They have sent students and teachers to Haiti to assist with building a water system, a new school and even purchased goats for the children of the village.

But on its most recent trip, one special student helped start up an orchestra program at a school there.

Colorado Academy Director of Operations Jesse Schumacher and Colorado Academy eighth-grade student Zach Harris spoke to 9NEWS Monday morning.
